Japan for my 50th Birthday

Describe your most memorable vacation.

There is nothing like it, a complete contrast of ancient and modern. The old shines and temples are nestled in between the sky scrapers, or the trees. There are parks with trees and temples right inside Tokyo. The people are polite, helpful, whilst remaining unique in their culture.

I had always wanted to go and had great expectations. My hopes and dreams were exceeded in every way. The food was amazing and such great care is taken in everything. I was hoping to find my childhood best friend, but we’d lost touch and I didn’t manage to find her. Even so this was the most wonderful place I have ever been.

The cities were manic especially Shinjuku which we stayed in for one night.

I will never forget this holiday! I really hope to go again: maybe for my 60th!

Most memorable was the hike up Mount Fuji, watch sunrise at 5.17am, Sea of Trees.
