When I got my diagnosis in 2023, my psychiatrist said I should get counselling. Now that would involve A going to a new place

B meeting new people

C talking to a stranger

Those things are not going to happen. I’ve had this diagnosis for 1 year and 9 months and although I do understand myself more and cut myself some slack, it’s still really hard to figure out who I really am.

I’ve decided to just talk to the camera and post it to the world. I’m not expecting anyone to watch, but that’s not really the point.

If something I say gets seen and helps someone in their life, then that is fantastic. But for now it’s a kind of talking therapy where I try to make sense of Autism and probably ADHD ( assessment is this month) with the goal of understanding myself and helping others along the way.

It’s actually the same reason I started this blog. Just to get thoughts out there into the world and not just clogging up my brain at 4am every morning.
